Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire that had spread into surrounding vegetation in the area of 925 Woodranch Road. There were reports of an explosion and firefighters are cautioned of a “life-safety hazard.”

The residential structure was reported to be fully involved upon arrival. Flames had extended into nearby vegetation, burning approximately one-tenth of an acre. The fire was described as having a slow rate of spread, but a full wildland fire response was dispatched out of caution.

The incident has been designated the Rocky Fire, and firefighters are continuing efforts to control the blaze.

UPDATE 3:22 p.m.: Smoke is diminishing on the AlertCalifornia camera.
