Vehicle On Roof Off Roadway South of Orick

Emergency personnel and Arcata Ambulance were dispatched to a solo-vehicle collision on Highway 101 just after 9 a.m. this morning. According to the CHP logs, the collision occurred between Stone Lagoon and Freshwater Lagoon, south of Orick.

The vehicle, reported to be a silver, Toyota 4-Runner, was on its roof 100 feet off the roadway, according to scanner transmission. Dispatch relayed that extrication was required.

J&M Towing is en route to the scene.
