Construction Starting July 29 on the Bull Creek/Mattole Road

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION FOR STORM DAMAGE REPAIR TO MATTOLE ROAD (BULL CREEK) POST MILES 13.66 TO 13.68

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works will be repairing Mattole Road, above Cuneo Creek Horse Group Camp in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

Traffic through the construction site will be restricted to a single lane controlled by STOP signs.
Construction is scheduled to begin on July 29, 2024, and is expected to be completed by November 2024.
Expect delays greater than 15 minutes at any time during this period.

Saw the paint and wondered why fix the best part of the road. The rest of the road to hdew is dangerously bad and gets worse daily do to bridge construction traffic.

Glad to see the road work taking place. We will benefit from much better roads which have been needed for a long time.

It rains like a cow on a flat rock in the Mattole watershed. Thanks to all the County workers and contractors working on this project. There are some good hiking trails nearby
