Point Fire: Evacuation Warnings Lifted

Information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

As work continues to progress in the containment and mop up of the Point Fire all evacuation warnings have been lifted for Garberville area. No evacuation orders or warnings for the Point Fire remain in effect at this time.

Residents are encouraged to remain prepared for future emergencies by:

• Signing up for emergency alerts at humboldtgov.org/alerts;
• Making an emergency plan;
• Packing a “Go Bag”;
• Building a “Stay Box”;
• Helping friends and neighbors prepare.
