A fast-moving fire, estimated to cover approximately 5 to 7 acres, is threatening structures in Lower Lake. The fire, which began as a commercial structure fire on the 16200 block of Main Street, quickly spread to nearby vegetation, according to radio traffic. A full wildland dispatch has been deployed including ground and air firefighting resources.

The blaze is advancing uphill at a rapid rate of spread. First responders reported that vegetation behind Maynard’s Bar is also burning, with at least one structure directly threatened by the flames.

We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

UPDATE 3:34 p.m.: The Incident Commander reports the fire is currently 10 acres in size and growing at a moderate rate of spread burning in grass and oak woodland.

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in the area described as LOW-E169

Update 3:46 p.m.:

Update 3:49 p.m.: Zones LOW-E170 and LOW-E176 are now under an evacuation warning.

UPDATE 4:49 p.m.: According to the Incident Commander, the fire is holding at 12-15 acres. A complete dozer line now surrounds the fire, and crews are engaged in extended mop-up operations. An air attack has been released as Copter 601 continues to support ground crews.

This is scary, I don’t see any reports on who or what is starting all the fires. PGE is not being blamed so who is it . No lightning strikes just pyros on drugs???
