Driver Suffers Minor Injuries After Crashing Down Embankment on 101 Near Jordan Creek

A sedan crashed on Highway 101 between Stafford and Pepperwood around 8:15 a.m. today, according to the California Highway Patrol Incident Information page.

Initial reports indicate the vehicle went down an embankment and landed on its roof in the trees about 15 feet from the roadway. According to scanner traffic, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on their own and only suffered minor injuries.

Please avoid the area if possible.

Wondering if it was a tourist not familiar with the highway and missed a corner. Happy to read they only had minor injuries.
