“Fully dressed Harley”?… Is this choice of terms, which are familiar only to the Harley subculture, employed in order to impress on us that the writer is sophisticated, and one of the cool kids? If so, it is pathetic .

Really? That’s what you got out of this? Maybe show a little sympathy for the people involved, or at least some manners.

Can everyone just imagine the uproar if he was GAY and NAKED?

?

Good thing he isn’t gay.

He can be posted on RHBB threads as a naked guy parading in town and the religious loonies have not a care in the world about it.

I wonder why.

“I believe our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is a universally recognized symbol that stands for liberty, and freedom. It is the history of our nation, and it’s marked by the blood of those who died defending it.” —John Thune

You win for rudest possible comment regarding a serious injury accident.

“Full dress Harley” (known colloquially as a “dresser”) is a common term and not at all confined to any sort of Harley subculture. Do you know what a “chopper” is? Its a common term also. BTW, it could have been a full dress BMW or Honda.

Most that don’t understand the common terms are “knuckle heads.”

It always hurts when I read a fellow Harley rider(s) has gone down. I pray that the injured will make a complete recovery and be back in the saddle soon. Please, if you don’t know what a fully dressed Harley is, don’t make rude or nasty comments. This is not the place for them.

Back in my day they were called ‘dressers’. The new word seems to be ‘baggers’. Full dress describes it perfectly. Major injuries doesn’t sound all that good.

The term “layed it down” can also be used as a term for avoiding an accident. It is done on purpose, not wrecked.
