Though I do enjoy a good lighting and thunder show I hope no fires get started. Can remember seeing heat lightning around here years ago off in the distance. And saw a Fir tree that got struck and catch on fire. Sent pieces of it flying.

The ground is a wet sponge. Fires that start today wont go far.
The long, wet winter we endured is paying its dividends now.

It’s the opposite side of Canada. The east coast didn’t enjoy the wet winter that wet did. They’ve been high and dry

Where do you live Ricky?
Lot’s of dead burnt timber standing here waiting for lightening. We responded to an old burnt oak tree from last year’s Campbell Fire where the roots had been covered with snow and rain all winter. Still burning inside and then up inside the tree till it burnt through, the tree fell and we had about a.7 of an acre fire.
Couple lightening fire’s had to be chased down from yesterday.
