[UPDATE 10:56 p.m.] Vehicle Crash on Hwy 36 East of Mad River

Traffic Collision Car Accident Feature iconA vehicle crashed on Hwy 36 east of Mad River near South Fork Mountain Road about 7:40 p.m. The vehicle isn’t impacting the road but reports over the scanner state one person was trapped.

By 8:30 p.m., both of the occupants were out of the vehicle and an ambulance was responding “from [the] coast” for one person with a possible shoulder fracture and one with minor injuries.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

UPDATE 10:56 p.m.: We have since learned that STAR ambulance has taken the patient(s) to meet the Coast ambulance.

STAR ambulance was first on scene one trapped and other with injuries that required more manpower to bring out the vehicle and through terrain to the ambulance. Thank you STVFD for your assistance and city ambulance Great Job STAR
