Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 299 Impacting Traffic; Ambulance En Route
A two-vehicle accident has occurred on Highway 299 near the intersection of Highway 96.
According to the CHP Traffic Incident page, a vehicle travelling Highway 299 could not manage a corner, leaving the roadway and striking a silver Toyota Tundra.
An off-duty EMT is at the scene and reporting that the patient is stable.
An ambulance, CHP and fire department first responders are en route to the scene.
There is debris in the roadway from the accident. The Caltrans QuickMap indicates that westbound traffic on Highway 299 is impacted as well as southbound traffic on Highway 96 where the two highways intersect.
Please avoid the area if possible.

Jay, that would sure help at all times of the year. But I think what you said just falls on deaf ears. The people that speed will eventually find out what happens when their vehicle leaves the road.
In a sea of misfortune, how lucky for this injured person that an off duty EMT was there. The world is lucky such people still want to help. Thank you.
