Vehicle Crashes Into Eureka Home Tonight

At approximately 6:40 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the yard of a Eureka house in the 3600 block of Union Street near Silva Avenue. The vehicle tore through the fence and struck a concrete wall.

An ambulance was on scene but whether anyone was injured is unknown at this time.

The North Coast News was live on the scene.

Austin, hit me up next time we have an accident at this corner, I’ll supply some lighting for you! Seriously though, we have had 4 accidents on this corner in a single month. Time to get a solution. Speed hump, rumble strips, or bring back the broken up asphalt.

Agreed that a speed bump, etc is long overdue on this part of the street. From about a block north of Silva to the last house on the 3600 block of Union (where city ends, and county begins) there is an obscene amount of accidents. Last night’s accident was a narrowly adverted tragedy- had the car not been stopped by the concrete wall, it would have gone into a living room full of kids. Cars that park on the street are in constant danger of being smashed. Obviously, people driving cautiously and slowly would help but something (like a speedbump) that semi-forces that behavior seems like a good option.

This was the same lady who flew down Sea Ave, screeched on here brakes and flew around Union.
The need to take her license away.
