Fire in Mad River area threatened a home.

Information from the Six Rivers National Forest Services’ Facebook page:

…[Yesterday] evening a fire started on County Line Road on the Mad River Ranger district. Six Rivers Engine 341 and the Southern Trinity V.F.D. rushed to the scene and were able to stop the fire at about half an acre. As you can see from the photos, the blaze was very close to a home.Fire in Mad River area threatened a home.

This fire could have easily spread and become a large incident had it not been for the initial attack by our amazing crew and the V.F.D.
No structures lost- No injuries- Fire is out!

Big win for the community and our Six Rivers National Forest Fire crews!

P.S. that Southern Trinity volunteer fire crew that showed up to help is an ALL WOMEN CREW! We think that’s SO cool! [Please note: Chief Melony Higgins tells us, “I’d just like to say STVFD can staff an awesome all girl crew that rocks but yesterday half and half.”

LIstened to judge Napolitano today speak to the amount of people in federal law Enforcement who carry firearms.

It’s beyond incredible that we are justifying the need for 87k new IRS agents who will be unleashed on Americans who make under 200k a year.

I find it hard to imagine the need for volunteer firefighters when there is so much federal MONEY for LAW ENFORCEMENT.

I think it’s time to ask why do we need so many people with guns who can use lethal force on its citizens, yet we can’t seem to secure our borders, stop the drug smuggling, human trafficking, or solve the economic problems, but if you lose your job, you can always find a job venforcing some kind of law, code, statute, regulation, that is going to help solve the climate created crisis.

Or you can volunteer to fight wildfires, no pension no insurance no benefits, just another day in this life.

Your comment about the fire is way off base. No guns involved. You should be proud of the folks that volunteer as fire fighters. They do it because they love our land, homes and the people and pets that live there. It is called be proud!

I heard these claims, that are outrageous sounding. So I did some basic research and found that they are also not true. It’s not hard. Look up 87k IRS agents or over 400k a year. Scare tactics for gullible people.

I suppose you think we need to hire 87k more federal agents whose sole purpose is too find ways to generate more revenue, when the federal government is involved in blunt force trauma on its citizens.

My argument was why we have to rely on volunteers to fight fires, when there is too much legal corruption that you and I keep funding every time we get taxed, and we get told that Ukraine needs 50plus billion to secure it’s borders and 1 billion to feed poor Egyptians, and every other dollar that goes overseas on our backs, meanwhile the citizens get thanked by a US government coordinated invasion, which is offering welfare and education to the hundreds of thousands of illegals, who will end up loweringthe cost of labor , which hurts citizens market value.

Moratorium on foreign aid, all immigration, and pull back the military spending esp during a recession.

Give every citizen an array of weapons and we will have no need for trillion dollars military industrial complex

And after all is said and done, there’s a

Maybe you have acclimated yourself to the idea that what is happening in the name of we the people is justified.

If you took a moment to pull off the blinders, you might ask some serious questions about what working class families have to deal with, during the course of the greatest transfer of wealth in history.

Think and act like a slave, you get treated like one.

Looks like a lot of the homes seen trhough out the rural mountain areas. I think its easy construction that doesnt require complicated roof lines and high levels of carpentry skills.

I delivered propane for a while and saw too many of these strutures w residence on top and “work space” below or vise-versa. I cant imagine the work space is used for much more than storage any longer.

You’re right. And the 10 or 12 foot lower walls allow for double decker “work space”

That would be too simple

If you get a chance check this out. Some have gone on to be hot shots and smoke jumpers.

Hurrah for all the volunteers, of whatever gender. The hidden secret of American society is that it runs largely on volunteer labor.
