CDFW Closes Lands Through Monday Due to Wildfires
Press release from CDFW:
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has closed 49 properties that lie within or immediately adjacent to U.S. Forest Service (USFS) boundaries due to unprecedented and historic fire conditions. Effective immediately, these properties are closed to the public through Monday, Sept. 14.
All closures are CDFW wildlife areas or ecological reserves, and they cover many parts of the state. They were closed following the USFS announcement of the temporary closure of all national forests in California.
Fire danger is extreme in California currently. Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to check for closures before leaving on any recreational trip. The following links show up-to-date closures:

The simple fact that if there weren’t any Game Wardens to enforce hunting and fishing seasons and bag limits, there wouldn’t be any game left because assholes would’ve poached everything they could find. They also protect non-game species from idiots who do water diversions and spread rodenticides everywhere or dump diesel on the ground.
How do I know this? Because that’s what happened before we passed laws regulating and protecting hunting and other wildlife and hired folks to enforce those laws.
Besides, their salaries are largely paid for by the hunting and fishing license fees.
Salaries are now paid out of the general fund.
Perhaps another State uses only tag/license fees, but our Commie state sucks the money from ALL the tax payers.

How come liberals are ok with closing public lands but are so against closing our National Borders to illegal immigration? Illegal is illegal. If it’s illegal for me to go to public land and I can be arrested if I do, how much more should illegal border crossers be arrested and deported.
I get temporary closure due to fires, but most closures these agencies impose aren’t for any reason other than lunatics with crazy environmental ideologies.

Without a reference to a specific grant of authority bureacracies do not have the power to make unilateral decisions. Neither order from the USFS or CDFW gave a CFR or CCR reference.
We have a legislative branch for a reason. The executive branch does not write the laws.
Well now that is a serious issue ignored by those who demand the government ignore the law to get them what they want at the same time they demand the government follow the law when the law gets them what they want. Same with Antifa and Sovereign citizen believers. They prefer to pick and choose individually what law they will follow. These closures are too widespread and the justification seems to be bureaucratic convenience rather than considered properly under rights under the law.
In this case, while it might be hard for the government to justify long term, these closures are short term emergency orders and no court will hold them illegal. I wonder how seriously they wil be eenforced anywa.
