UPDATE Wednesday morning here: Knob Fire Nearly Doubles in Size Since Yesterday, Still 0% Containment Original post: According to the Northern California Geographic Coordination Center, the Knob Fire which began on Sunday has swallowed 1,236 acres mostly of brush and timber and is still 0% contained. The fire burned moderately active today. Over 1000 structures are reported to be threatened.

“Per the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and the Trinity County Office of Emergency Services, all areas along the south side of Hyampom Rd, from Nine Mile Bridge, east to Cedar Gulch Rd, this includes Drinkwater Gulch, Phares Lane, Doctor Lane, Turkey Track Rd, Old Haywagon Rd, and Digger Rd are now under an Evacuation Order.”
