Late Night Fire Destroys Manufactured Home in Myers Flat
Just before 10 p.m. on the night of Thursday, April 25, emergency dispatch received a report of a structure fire spreading to vegetation on the 10000 block of Boy Scout Road in Myers Flat.
Cal Fire, Myers Flat Volunteer Fire, and Miranda Volunteer Fire Department were requested to respond.
The incident commander for the Scout Fire, as it was identified, relayed to emergency dispatch that the manufactured home structure was “completely done.” The fire had spread to a twenty-by-twenty-foot area of vegetation.
Cal Fire and Myers Flat VFD was able to extinguish the fire, minimizing the spread to the vegetation to .3 acres.
Redheaded Blackbelt has reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department regarding this structure fire.
