The Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of Firefighter/EMT Robert Anderson, remembered for his calm in crisis, generous spirit, and ten years of dedicated service.

“Teresa was the second born of 4 children, and was raised in Ferndale, California, where she attended Ferndale Elementary and Ferndale High School.”

“Firefighter Schoenfeld will be remembered as a motivated, goal-oriented public servant, whose exceptional physical fitness and dedication inspired those around him.”

“She truly was an incredible mother. She had a huge heart for all those around her, she was a steadfast and non-judgmental mom and friend.”

Longtime Eureka educator and Marine Corps veteran Jerry Bronder passed peacefully at age 92, surrounded by his children.

Celebration of Life on Saturday, Aug 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Fortuna.
