Humboldt County Search and Rescue Golf Tournament Fundraiser June 12

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

Icon HCSO Humboldt County Sheriff's OfficeThe Humboldt County Search and Rescue Team is inviting the public to its inaugural community golf tournament fundraiser at the Eureka Municipal Golf Course on Friday, June 12, 2026. A day of fun and friendly competition, this event will support lifesaving search and rescue operations throughout Humboldt County.

As a 100 percent volunteer-run organization, the Humboldt County Search and Rescue Team relies on community support. Every dollar raised goes directly toward the training and equipment needed to bring missing or injured people home safely.

This event isn’t just for golfers. It also features a fire truck ball drop with a $1,000 grand prize, silent and live auctions, a raffle, and Search and Rescue swag at special discount prices. Participants can purchase a numbered golf ball and watch it drop from the Humboldt Bay Fire Department ladder truck — the ball landing closest to the pin wins the grand prize. Can’t make it in person? You can still enter the ball drop by purchasing balls online at www.humboldtsar.org.

Golfers tee off at 9am, with all other festivities beginning at 2:30pm. For more information, visit www.humboldtsar.org.
