Missing Humboldt County Motorcyclist Found Safe After Silver Alert
A 69-year-old Humboldt County man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found safe, confirmed the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
Jon Sylvia, who had been reported missing after last being seen around 8 p.m. on June 27 in eastern Humboldt County, was located alive and well on Green Diamond Resource Company property between Maple Creek Road and Snow Camp Road, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Authorities had activated a Silver Alert through the California Highway Patrol after Sylvia was believed to be riding a gray 2025 Kawasaki KLX motorcycle with California license plate 26F6696. The alert prompted a public request for information regarding his whereabouts.
