Silver Alert Issued for Missing 69-Year-Old Motorcyclist Last Seen in Eastern Humboldt County

A Silver Alert has been activated for a missing at-risk man who was last seen Saturday evening in eastern Humboldt County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The alert, issued by the CHP on behalf of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, asks the public’s help in locating 69-year-old Jon Sylvia.

According to the alert, Sylvia was last seen on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at approximately 8 p.m. in eastern Humboldt County. He is believed to be riding a gray 2025 Kawasaki KLX motorcycle bearing California license plate #26F6696.

Sylvia is described as:

• 69 years old
• 5 feet 8 inches tall
• Approximately 190 pounds
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes

He was last seen wearing a motorcycle jacket, blue jeans, gloves and a motorcycle helmet.

Anyone who sees Sylvia, his motorcycle or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
