I hope if there are other people in the vehicle, they will be ok like the driver. Is that the correct picture because it looks like some snow on the ground and that can’t be possible today.
I thought the same thing.
Its a stock image. Read caption under the image.
That picture looks like the top of the hill on AP road
If I recall correctly, the background image was from a crash on Hwy 3 between Hwy 36 and Hayfork.
Lisa, why put a stock image in. I think it would be better with no picture especially when the picture is incorrect.
Martin, the site is set up to have at least one photo with each post. When we don’t have an original photo specific to that article, we put up a stock image, usually denoted by the words across the image. You’ll see this with traffic collisions, fires, law enforcement posts, etc. We will use logos as a feature image to denote who sent the press release, or an image of a similar situation that has words across it, or has been blurred, etc. This image has words across it, has a filtered effect, and has “stock photo” under the image so that readers don’t mistake the feature photo for a photo of the actual incident.
Many articles today are printed as news, and they don’t have a picture included. Maybe your site should follow with or without a photo if a correct one is not available. Thanks for your reply though Lisa.
Wow, what an interesting place to roll one … 🥁
