Garberville Firewise Offering Free Reflective Address Signs to Help First Responders Find You

Garberville Firewise provides free reflective address signs for all residents, property owners and businesses within the currently designated Firewise boundaries. Reflective address signs are an important part of wildfire readiness. The green signs with white reflective numbers meet the requirements set by CALFIRE. Reflective address signs make your home or business more easily visible to first responders in dark, foggy or smoky conditions. 

    We encourage our neighbors in town to post reflective address signs to help make us all more fire safe. Residents and property owners can request a free reflective address sign and make arrangements for free installation, if needed. Garberville Firewise volunteers also offer free home assessments and advice on how to make your home or property more fire safe. Some insurance companies, such as the FAIR plan, offer a discount for homes that are in a recognized Firewise community so your participation as local residents helps keep Garberville Firewise strong.
