‘Notice of No Building Permit Inspections or Plan Reviews May 4 – 7 Due to Mandatory Building Division Training’: Mendocino

Seal of Mendocino county CaThe Building Division will be in mandatory training Monday May 4, 2026 through Thursday May 7, 2026. During this time, no inspections or plan reviews will be conducted within the County. The Building Division will resume inspections on Friday May 8, 2026 and will make exceptions to the typical inspection schedule to accommodate as many inspections as possible. The Department appreciates the public’s understanding of this change in our regular business availability during May 4 through 7, 2026.

The mandatory training fulfills portions of the State-mandated requirements for Building Inspectors, who are required to complete a minimum of 45 hours of continuing education for every three-year period including at least eight hours regarding disability access requirements (Health and Safety Code section 18949.29).

The Department encourages the public to plan accordingly to avoid delays due to these mandatory training requirements.

NO INSPECTIONS OR PLAN REVIEW

MAY 4 – 7, 2026

Inspections will resume on Friday May 8, 2026.

The Department will make exceptions to the typical inspection schedule to accommodate as many inspections as possible on Friday May 8, 2026.

**Please submit a request for inspection no later than 3 pm on Thursday May 7, 2026 to potentially receive inspection on Friday May 8, 2026.**
