Free Kids Program at Arcata Library Explores Culture, Community and Where We Come From
Press release from the Arcata Library:
Arcata Library invites the public to Where are We From? A Cultural Library Program for Kids on Wednesday, May 6, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Arcata Library, 500 7th St (behind City Hall) in Arcata. Using the book Origin, by Nat Cardozo, we will explore ideas of community, ecosystems, and how we are all global citizens. The book uniquely pairs stories and illustrations of children from indigenous communities around the world. We’ll look, learn, think, then make self-portraits that focus on how important nature is to who we are. Come ready to think and create! All library events are free. (707) 822-5954, HumLib.org
