Open Horizons invites the community to step into a world of fantasy and fun at the 2nd Annual Fairy Tale Festival, set for Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Southern Humboldt Community Park in Garberville.

This year’s festival promises a magical day for all ages, featuring live music, aerial displays, artisanal vendors, mystical food options, a full bar, a kids’ craft station, interactive games, face painting, a bounce house, and a mechanical bull ride for the adventurous.

Costumes are highly encouraged. Attendees are invited to come dressed as their favorite fairy tale characters — fairies, knights, elves, witches, dragons, ogres, sprites, or any creature of lore. The more imaginative, the better.

Admission is $10 per person, $50 for groups of five or more, and free for children 5 and under.

Open Horizons is currently seeking vendors and volunteers to help make this year’s festival a success. Community members and small businesses interested in participating are encouraged to reach out as soon as possible, as spaces are limited.

To register as a vendor, sign up to volunteer, or ask questions about the event, contact Open Horizons by phone or text at 619-770-7439.

Open horizons is a nonprofit founded in 2024 but has been a dream long before that. The goal is to provide events and activities that are not only inclusive but are engaging to kids of all ages and their families. Working closely with the community we hope to foster a stronger bond between the youth and the world around them.
