The sun can be blinding on 299, severely impairing a biker’s skill in those twisties.
That is a gnarly stretch of road.
Not really. That section is pretty wide and smooth
I sure hope the biker will make a complete recovery from his severe injuries. I don’t know what made him crash, but there are potholes, rocks, drivers forcing you off the road, etc. The sun can catch you by surprise and if you don’t have on sunglasses or a dark face shield on your helmet, it can blind you for several seconds causing a crash.
No potholes on that stretch. A biker list his life around a year ago there. Going way too fast and hit an exiting truck.
Quantum, thank you for the info. I was not aware there were no potholes or a bikers lost his life there about a year ago. I don’t travel that road very much. Have a nice day.
Thanks for all the answers.
Mel, they were not answers, but just ideas on what could have caused him to crash. Your comment is a little on the rude side!
