Ukiah Parolee Arrested During Search Tied to Assault Investigation, Alleged Gang Violations

This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty:

On 04/04/2026 at approximately 7:40 P.M., Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 2000 block of South State Street in Ukiah, CA to conduct a parole search of Alexis Navarrete (24-year-old male from Ukiah, CA) in connection with a recent assault investigation.

Deputies knew Navarrete was on active California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole for 246 PC – Shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Navarrete had parole terms that prohibited him from possessing any items, clothing, or apparel that contains colors, signs, or symbols associated with gang affiliation. As part of Navarrete’s parole status, he was classified as a gang offender and a member of the XECO Locos Sureño gang.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Navarrete who was detained without incident.

During the search, Deputies located items consistent with gang-associated paraphernalia in areas under Navarrete’s control. Based on the investigation, Deputies determined that Navarrete was in violation of his parole conditions.

Navarrete was arrested for violating the terms of his parole and transported to the Mendocino County Jail. Navarrete’s parole agent was notified and authorized a parole hold for 3056 PC. Navarrete was subsequently booked and lodged at the Mendocino County Jail to be held on a no-bail status.

Some people just miss ‘the joint’ too much. So they gotta act in ways to ‘get back home’. Sad.

And we- in our wonderful Misplaced Compassion keep diverting money from the needs of innocent children and elderly and vets to keep feeding them and providing them their expensive home so they can learn better ways to commit violent crimes when they are released early. It works out fine- For Them!

While i do not support gangs or their activities i do however wonder where the conditions of his release are legal , we are supposed to have freedoms to join and be part of groups , these groups are not limited to what the population agrees to be acceptable or not just as we have the right to express ourselves with what style or manor of dress we wish. While i understand my views are not popular they are mine , it is a very slippery slope to remove a persons rights because we do not like or wish to accept the way in which a person uses them, that does not give us or the government the power to remove them.
i am told there is a social contract in which the governed give up certain freedoms to the government in exchange for the protection of our individual rights i ask which rights are being protected here ? We must do better and not take the simple or easy way out personal rights must be protected above all else the greater good does not trump the governments responsibility to protect individual rights or freedoms

no i am not . I lean libertarian, personal rights are the foundations upon our nations freedoms , when rights are eroded in order to control people , then it is a simple matter of time before more and more rights are removed diluted . A right is something that we all are supposed to have without needing to ask permission to use it , personal rights have been eroded through regulations often by non elected officials them codified with criminal penalties which is strange as laws have criminal penalties and regulations civil fines how clever the power hungry are to chip away at freedoms and rights all in the name of the latest popular thing people are told to fear all because most people would much rather have someone other to blame or point a finger at then take personal responsibility for their actions safety and lives , most people cant even admit that they prefer to be told what to do and how to do it then be responsible for themselves failure as well as wins.

There is no freedom to join a criminal organization – think mafia for a precedence .

I was referencing color of clothing and possessions, depending upon ones view there are several supposedly legit empires that when looked at closely could be viewed as criminal in nature , churches protecting child
sexual abusers could very well be viewed as trafficking in sexual abuse of minors . Insurance companies could very well be viewed as a criminal org , when the law requires people to pay for something and have that something be for profit , seems sort of like extortion rackets to me but i guess it is all in the eye of the beholder . The CIA international drug trafficking network ( this has been proven through freedom of information request) the list can and does go on and on and on . Fact is joining a group should not be a crime. Crime is the intentional breaking of a legal law i say legal as several of our current laws are at their very base illegal but we have a broken system all 3 branches of government have been mutated and abused to the point they look and function completely differently then how they were supposed to. This has been happening for decades upon decades , it has been happening for so long that people have forgotten even what it is supposed to look like let alone work

Face tats should just be illegal. Unless you’re part of a traditional tribe. Then we could just round up all face-tatted people and reduce crime significantly. I’m libertarian mostly too but c’mon!- Enough is enough…
