Trinity County Marks Child Abuse Prevention Month with Community Events Throughout April
Press release from the County of Trinity:
In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month (April), the Trinity County Child Abuse Prevention Council is proud to invite residents to participate in multiple events dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the protection of children in our community. With a firm commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, we invite individuals, families, and community leaders to join us in this important initiative.
“We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment,” said Angela Berglund, Human Services Program Manager with Trinity County Child Welfare Services Agency. “Child Abuse Prevention Month serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to protect our most vulnerable members. Communities can support strong families by making social connections and offering support. Everyone in the community plays an important role, and a community is needed to raise a child in a safe and healthy environment.”
Trinity County is grateful for the support of our community partners and volunteers who help make events like this possible. By working together, we can build a safer, more caring community for all.
Please join the Trinity County Child Abuse Prevention Council in taking a stand against child abuse. Together, we can make a difference. To bring awareness, the following events will be held throughout the month of April in Trinity County:
- Wednesday, April 1: Pin Wheels for prevention display at Ace Hardware
- Tuesday, April 7: Proclamation at the Board of Supervisors Meeting

Child abuse prevention should be worked on everyday of the year.
I agree Kris, but sadly it is not.
To bring child abuse prevention into view please try to make it to one of the events listed in the article. Child abuse is a big problem not only in Trinity County but statewide in California and in all the other states. People who physically or mentally abuse our little children need to pay for what they have done. ABUSE OF ANY KIND CANNOT BE TOLERATED!!!
Can’t argue with that, takes a special kind of scum to abuse someone especially a child.
Guess, it sure does!
