Northbound Highway 101 near the Peg House experienced delays Wednesday afternoon after rocks and dirt slid onto the roadway, prompting a brief closure in both directions. The incident was reported at approximately 2:53 p.m. near mile marker 94, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page.

CHP logs indicated that the slide initially affected the northbound lanes, with rock and debris blocking the roadway. Caltrans crews responded, arriving on scene within about 10 minutes to begin clearing the material.

By 3:15 p.m., officials temporarily closed both northbound and southbound lanes for an estimated 10–15 minutes to safely complete debris removal.

No injuries were reported, and the roadway was expected to reopen shortly after the cleanup concluded.
