Applications Now Open for Fall 2026 Redwood National and State Parks Artist-in-Residence Program
This is a press release from the Redwood Parks Conservancy:
Applications are now open for the Fall 2026 Artist-in-Residence Program at Redwood National and State Parks. Artists of all disciplines are invited to apply through June 15, 2026, for the opportunity to spend a month creating work inspired by the ancient redwood forest and the park’s remarkable natural and cultural landscapes.
Coordinated by the National Park Service, California State Parks, and Redwood Parks Conservancy, the residency will take place November 1–30, 2026. The selected artist will receive a stipend of up to $5,000 to support travel, materials, and other residency-related expenses.
Artists working in all mediums—including visual arts, writing, photography, film, music, dance, and other creative disciplines—are encouraged to apply. In addition to pursuing their artistic practice, the selected artist will share their experience through at least one public presentation and contribute a completed work inspired by their time in the parks.
The selected artist will be announced on August 15, 2026.
