Emerald Triangle Craft Unveils ’12 Jays of Xmas’ Holiday Box Celebrating Small Farms and Cannabis Culture

Press release from HCGA:

12 days of x-mas graphicThis holiday season, Emerald Triangle Craft unveils the 2025 “12 Jays of Xmas” Signature Box — a limited-edition collection of pre-rolls and original artwork celebrating the legacy cannabis farms of Northern California’s Emerald Triangle. Following last year’s sold-out release, the new box is expected to be one of the most talked-about craft cannabis offerings of the holiday gift season, available only at VIP donor events and select licensed California dispensaries while supplies last.

Designed for holiday gifting, connoisseur collectors, culture lovers, and anyone who appreciates small-batch craft, the 12 Jays of Xmas box features pre-rolls from twelve independent legacy farms — each rooted in Humboldt, Mendocino, or Trinity County. Every farm carries generational cultivation knowledge, land stewardship practices, and a devotion to sungrown excellence rarely found in today’s commercial cannabis landscape.

“This isn’t just a gift — it’s a celebration of the small farms that shaped California cannabis culture,” says Judi Nelson of Emerald Triangle Craft. “When someone opens this box, they’re holding a piece of living history.”

A Gift Box You Keep — Not Toss

This year’s box features exclusive commissioned artwork by California artist and animator Mabel Alcock, whose “Stoner Saints” illustration blends Art Nouveau elegance with playful holiday mythology. Designed to be collected, displayed, and treasured, her artwork elevates the box from packaging to limited-edition art object.

A Purchase With Purpose

A portion of proceeds benefits the Humboldt County Growers Alliance (HCGA), supporting the protection of family farms, climate-minded cultivation, fair cannabis policy, and economic sustainability across the Emerald Triangle.

“When you buy this box, you’re directly supporting real farmers, real land stewardship, and the preservation of a cultural ecosystem,” says Hannah Whyte, President of HCGA.

Why This Story Matters

  • Culture + Travel Reporting: The Emerald Triangle is still the heart of American cannabis heritage — this box tells that story.
  • Economics + Policy Media: Buying this product meaningfully impacts small rural farming communities.

That’s all fine and dandy, but if you’re going to do it, then commit, don’t half ass it with just twelve. I’m looking forward to the “A Jay A Day Advent Calendar”.

I think 12 different 1/8ths of some exotic or just one-off home-grown from different growers, different soils, maybe even different regions or climates, would be what I’d really want. Some funky, sticky, skunky outdoor, what-ever-door, possibly lightly trimmed, stuff that gets you high enough that you find yourself surprisingly needing to put the joint out half way through.
