Officers Seize Over 35,000 Pounds of Cannabis in Humboldt Raids
This is a press release from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On June 12, 2025, California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Cannabis Enforcement Program (CEP) wildlife officers, with assistance from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served three search warrants in Humboldt County to investigate the suspected illicit cultivation and manufacturing of cannabis products. The search warrants were served on properties located near the 6000 block of 2nd Street in Fields Landing, the 3000 block of Old Briceland Road in Garberville, and on Fir Lane in Benbow, Humboldt County. None of the properties possessed the appropriate state licenses to cultivate or manufacture cannabis products commercially.
During the search warrant services, officers seized and destroyed over 34,500 pounds of cannabis shake and over 1,200 pounds of concentrated cannabis. Officers also located and seized one un-serialized AR-style rifle, one un-serialized semi-automatic pistol, and approximately $14,600 believed to be proceeds of the illicit activity.
Three individuals were detained during the warrant services, interviewed, and later released. The investigation is ongoing.
Note: A previously published version of this article incorrectly attributed the press release to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department when, in fact, CDFW was the lead agency and the entity that released the press release. The article has been updated to correctly reflect that. Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

Hash factory…
Huge waste of tax payer money. Go arrest the meth heads and meth dealers and fentynol pushers and leave the weed growers alone you lazy cucks.
They tend to go hand and hand these days, what with weed prices in the dumpster. Always have a side hustle.
A “side hustle” of dealing methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Oh, ouch. Reality bites. The truth hurts.
They are often one and the same.
Hey Sheriff, how about some pictures?
The 35,000 pounds were medicinal and for personal use.
Absolutely!
I guess the medicinal part is growing them…It sure is great exercise!!
Yes, of course! How keen of you to notice! Nothing gets by you. Medicinal and/or personal use pretty well covers it. Remember all those cool jokes about medicinal alcohol which can be applied externally or internally?
Why would anyone want all that resin around anyway? Wood-stain? Household lubricant? Cat litter? NAILED it, man: “medicinal and for personal use.” Maybe not these precise people but somebody. What else? Unassailable and impregnable logic.
I am not worthy.
Hey that’s ONLY 96 lbs a day for medicinal/personal use! If it’s for 6 people it’s ONLY 16 lbs per day!
I don’t remember your cool jokes. But did you do the math? 35,000 lbs divided by 365 days is 96 lbs a day for your personal and medicinal use provided you have a 215 card (do they still do those)? But!!! If it’s 6 people that works out to be ONLY about 16 lbs a day for personal and medicinal use.
I said “maybe not these people but somebody”. That means that SOMEBODY, their customers, are going to use the cannabis for medicinal or personal reasons. All this jumping-up-down from T.M. About 96 pounds a day, etc. is exactly my point. This was a wholesale distribution point just like for any other commodity. See, brewers make a zillion gallons of booze which goes into kegs or bottles and is distributed through ever smaller arteries until you wind up with a sixpack or wine bottle in your ‘fridge. Or a drink at your favorite watering hole.
That’s what I mean. That’s also how our food is distributed unless Trump deports everybody. You start with a lot and sell it down the line. So, you’re apoplectic and aghast that everybody doesn’t just instantly have a gram or two of hash or buds or concentrate and that it didn’t start in a farm or greenhouse somewhere on its way to somebody’s stash.
That’s ridiculous. If you want to outlaw a drug, that’s one thing, but to not understand what that drug is about and why there just might be a bunch of it here and there, especially if quasi-legal, seems disingenuous to me.
I’m – I’M – apoplectic? You don’t seem to grasp the sarcasm. Everyone had to listen and accommodate the absolute BS that Pot was an “important medicine”. That was a pathway to legalization and a false premise – not an important medicine for the amount produced – despite some good yet limited important medicinal uses discovered. More importantly, the research coming out points to extremely detrimental problems especially with growth and development in young people. Most recently are ties pointing to schizophrenia. Functional Ability ties have been around for a while. Personally, after reading comments on this website – I’m convinced it has an increased effect on “the D” in TDS. Lol! Kinda like it does with paranoia. “ I need me medicine !”
Combine the hash oil with ground up stem hemp and aggregate for potholes!
Medicinal cocktails are not only delicious but also incredibly beneficial to our health. Whether you are looking to boost your immune system, calm your nerves, or improve your digestion, there is a medicinal cocktail out there that can help you achieve your goals
Yes exactly- a good mix of Medicinal Pot with an exquisite whiskey is beneficial. Blended with kale and “super beets” makes age lines disappear. Don’t forget to smoke a pack of Marlboro’s with your medicine to increase it’s effectiveness!
Give me some banana peel any day.
Just like Grandma used to smoke.
LOL!
When I was a kid and Donovan’s song “Mello Yellow” came out we bought some “Electric Banana” at the Free Press Bookstore. (It MAY have been dried peels I don’t know. Just black crystals) Then we bought a corn cob pipe at the market. We drove around town smoking that stuff! Yikes! All we got were sore throats and headaches . . I had a good laugh when YEARS LATER I found out the song was about a woman’s vibrator . . .
Well if I am calculating correctly what X is, impressive! When is the auction for the equipment 😉
How about all the permitted farms blowing many many pounds out the back door? Zero enforcement for the permit pansies I guess. The corporate/ government sleaze machine must still have uses for them…..later on they will be annihilated also…play is against each other and many took the poison pill
What is your definition of “permit pansy?” Someone who trusted California to come up with laws that were not punitive, confiscatory, and byzantine?
//Someone who trusted California//
I can think of a few definitions, lol. Just to be clear though the first issue with legalization was tryin to cut us out of selling to 49 other states. Seems Punitive, Confiscatory and Byzantine now don’t it?
Farce and I are trying to mellow out, it’s easy to be mean when the other person is not in front of you. Anyway, I’m with you. I went to one of the Eureka publuc meetings and I don’t think they listened. I tried going through the permit process and gave up. “Permit pansy” seems pejorative to me, like you sold out. Trust me, staying illegal was not sustainable but legal is not much better. Good chance I will not live to see this resolved or if the USA even survives.
Oh man- I forgot we were trying to mellow out! You’re right- I’ll try to not be so insulting. At least to you. We were on the same side of this thing for a long time. I’m pretty sure I’ve said it enough here what are my reasons for disliking the permit people…most of them basically did sell out to the government/ corporate takeover. Some for greed- knowing they’d get those last couple years of unmolested big harvests at good prices. Some ignorance. Some were deluded by false hopes and unsubstantiated positivity into believing unicorns. Some were old and just gave up the fight. Some got abated and were offered permits so that was their only path available. Some were scared- (I have zero sympathy for that). I use a different word offline that Kym won’t allow here – permit p*ss#*s and so it ended up here as “permit pansy”. And many are/ were pansies. As in suckers. Maybe I could use ” permit patsies”? Anyways- no personal offense- IDK your personal story. If you don’t think it applies to you then brush right by. I’m ok if we have different perspectives and opinions. You are not who I want to fight. I believe we share more in common than we see here online …Have a great day!
No- I just call those people “suckers”
35000 pounds, 3 properties, one in fields landing? Sounds like the olden days when they weigh the dirt too. Not impossible, especially for shake, but still hard to believe.
“Seize 35,000 pounds of cannabis” No, no they didn’t. Nothing like a big ole pat on one’s back. Clown show.
Many needy patients who used to be productive members of society are suffering because these meds were taken off the market.
now folks are struggling to find the healing herb.
no doubt these were productive pharmacy’s helping to heal up the citizenry.
cannabis is the only cure for life’s many problems, except for when one also needs lsd, mushrooms, coke, Dr Pepper or soothing microbrews.
sometimes even a bottle of wine can cure lower back pain, feline leukemia or the Limbaugh syndrome .
Lol, medicinal peyote never took off. It didn’t even pan out for “cultural appropriation” by white people.
35k lbs of SHAKE? Seriously? It’s mostly weightless so how, I ask HOW did they come up with that number? Something is off with the math…”the math ain’t mathin’…” to quote Crockett….come ON. It would have to be an entire barn full stacked to the rafters!
