A fast-moving wildfire dubbed the Cache Fire has broken out in Lake County near Walker Ridge, burning an estimated 5 acres so far with no containment reported.

Strong winds are pushing flames downhill, sparking multiple spot fires, according to scanner traffic. Air crews on scene warned the fire has the potential to explode to 100 acres in short order. Two additional Type 1 tankers have been requested.

Smoke is clearly visible on ALERTCalifornia wildfire cameras. Ground and air resources are en route.

It looks like you will probably be safe from the fire. The air tankers have been released, and the fire is holding between 5 to 10 acres. But with any fire there is always a chance it can blow up in minutes from wind. Keep on top of the situation until the fire is out. Good luck clear lake fool.
