Where is Wilder ,Ridge?
Ettersburg…
Honeydew
Wilder Ridge Road runs from Ettersburg to Honeydew more or less.
Oops… “Wilder Ridge Road” connects Ettersburg and Honeydew…
https://g.co/kgs/hvW3Bko
6200 Wilder Ridge Road does appear to be a little closer to Honeydew than it is to Ettersburg…
…by 0.9 miles…
It’s 6.5 miles from Honeydew…
It’s 7.4 miles from Ettersburg…
?♂️?♂️
(It’s 0.45 miles towards Honeydew from the midpoint)
Kym…

??,
Someone is kooking, and I know it’s not RHBB…
It’s officially, MISTAKENLY LABALED AS, the “COOKSIE” Alert Camera…
?♂️?♂️??
But there is just one little discrepancy…
It’s “COOSKIE” MOUNTAIN, NOT “COOKSIE” MOUNTAIN…?♂️?♂️??
Does someone need to, “Alert California”…???
Cooskie Mountain
https://maps.app.goo.gl/k6aacKEcbSFcW5tz6
Is that a CalFire blunder, or some other California Agency,’s blunder…???
How embarrassing…!!!
HOW long has it been like that…???
Why hasn’t anyone noticed it before…???
Not sure where the actual camera is…
But, there is “Cooskie Creek”, “Cooskie Mountain”, (where I presume the alert camera is), and following the ridge southeast of “Cooskie Mountain”, is actually, “COOKSIE RDG.”, (at least that’s what it says on my old Metzger Map…
Maybe that’s where the confusion originated…???
Looks like it’s virtually out…

Interesting thing I just learned is that you can type in the name of the alert cam on Google, “Cooksie Alert Camera” and it will show a result that you can tap on, that will take you to the live camera, to view in real time, (maybe updated only every 15 minutes…???),AND, it will show a topographical map, along with a graphic showing the camera location, a graphic of the direction it’s pointing, a graphic of a simulation of the trajectory, through and beyond the view to the smoke showing…
AND, it also shows the gps coordinates of the smoke…
(I couldn’t get it to repeat the gps coordinates, now that there is no more smoke showing…)

Pretty fucking cool…

Hey, HEEEEY!
I helped put out the fire, and I am an atheist, and I appreciate Kym’s use of the quote as a reminder to be civil, and humane. The comment section is a place to reason things out…some of us might have more work to do than others to reason this all out!
