Vehicle Overturns Near Fields Landing
A solo vehicle crashed on northbound Highway101 near the Fields Landing offramp about 9:40 a.m., leaving the vehicle overturned and off the roadway, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. The outside (#2) lane is shut down by firefighters as they deal with the incident.
Initial reports to 911 indicate that the vehicle was swerving prior to the crash and ultimately hit an embankment before flipping over. That has not been confirmed officially. The occupants of the vehicle are reported to be out of the car, but an ambulance is responding to the scene.

People reported that the vehicle was swerving prior to the crash. My guess is that the driver was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Or never grew up.

According to one of the victims, their car was likely vandalized by someone else who has been messing with them, possibly a neighbor: “the back passenger tire, there was an issue with it yesterday because someone has been messing with my mom’s car and we know who it is but don’t have proof. He even watched us leave over his fence this morning before the accident.” She was taking her daughter to work when this happened.
Lo Ba, Is there someone close to your house or yard where the vehicle was parked? Maybe they have a security camera. Your mom should call the EPD and file a report and have them check on the jackass messing with her car. After the accident the person just might plead guilty. I do hope your mom and others in the car are going to be fine.
Or a deer on the road?
I would chance hitting the deer instead of going up the bank and rolling my car.
My mom wasn’t under the influence when this happened this morning.

I forgive you, most of the time with accidents like these, a good chance its under the influence and if she was I wouldn’t have let her drive and I would’ve taken her keys and took her car for the day ^_^ she got a fractured wrist and a fractured elbow, a concussion, and whiplash but is doing fine now. I only had mild whiplash and a mild concussion. I got prescribed cyclobenzaprine for muscle spasms and naproxen for pain, but we are both fine ^_^
And I was mistaken, it wasn’t the tire that caused the accident, the cord I think it’s called, that connects to the breaks was cut, so I believe it was sabotage 🙁

I just made a comment that fits a large number of vehicle accidents. That being said, I have not seen or read the CHP accident report. You have not read it either. Stop and buy yourself a cup of coffee.
