New TAXES !

Transaction Tax
Adding a sales tax to other financial ‘assets’. Retirement, stocks, bonds etc.

If an investor sells an asset worth $1,000, they would be charged $1 on the transaction under a 0.1 percent financial transaction tax (FTT).

Use Tax is defined as a tax on the storage, use, or consumption of a taxable item or service on which no sales tax has been paid.

IMHO: Probably going to go after credit cards used ‘out of state’.
Gas taxes, sales tax on most everything.

Potentially opens the door to huge money.

If you wanna know what the tax increase is and what it will apply to you might consider reading the actual measure that will be on the ballot.

If you just wanna rant then carry on.

Let me tell you how it will be
There’s one for you, nineteen for me
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman
Should five percent appear too small
Be thankful I don’t take it all
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman
I’ll tax the street
(If you try to sit, sit) I’ll tax your seat
(If you get too cold, cold) I’ll tax the heat
(If you take a walk, walk) I’ll tax your feet
(Taxman)

When I was growing up the older folks around me talked down about “those tax-and-spend liberals”. Ha ha! I heard it but I didn’t see it. I grew older as a liberal anarchist. Probably still am, except I have come to see that people are generally too selfish and stupid for anarchy. Ha Ha! Anyways….Arcata is the PRIME example I’ve seen in this life as truly THE Tax-and-Spend town. Luckily it consists mostly of wealthy and the trust-funded or inheritance vultures(those just waiting for their patents to die so they can get that free money). So most are not paying attention. But yet another increase in the tax rate that hits poor as well as rich…while they keep spouting off about being “progressive” and concerned about “equality” and fairness is …well- these people are freaking insane. Or they are lying through their teeth. Yeah- go bury the highway and make more signs telling us you care or just throw that money around and down the drain because it came from a state grant or piss it away on consultants and parties….Gross. Arcata is really disgusting. But I guess if you’re in that cool crowd of the insiders running the show it’s a pretty comfortable ride…gross!

Curious how you came up with “Arcata consists mostly of trustfunded or inheritance vultures”. Have you been in my working class neighborhood lately? I invite you to visit then share how many luxury vehicles & Mc Mansions you notice.
