Providence Names New Chief Community Health Officer
Press release from Providence Health :
Health care administrator Michael Robinson recently was named chief community health officer for Providence South Division. Providence Health is a not-for-profit health care organization committed to expanding access to quality health and wellness care, especially to vulnerable populations.
Robinson will begin his new role on Monday, March 4. He will lead the community health efforts for Providence South Division and work alongside philanthropy and health equity leaders. He also will oversee the strategic direction of community health initiatives that partner with and support marginalized communities throughout California.
“We are happy that Michael will continue his work with Providence in his new role,” said Kenya Beckmann, chief philanthropy and health equity officer, Providence South Division. “Michael’s deep understanding of our communities and mission-centered leadership will help us continue our efforts to eliminate inequities in health care access.”
“I have been a member of the Providence family for many years,” said Robinson, chief community health officer. “And I am eager to continue to serve our communities by improving access to care and creating programs and services that meet and exceed their needs.”
Robinson’s most recent position was chief home health officer (Home and Community Care) for Providence St. Joseph Health. During his tenure, he successfully restructured operations to improve caregiver and patient experience and was instrumental in implementing the Hospital at Home program in Western Washington. Previously, he led teams at Bon Secours Mercy Health.
Robinson was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University’s Williamson School of Business, a master’s degree in health administration from Saint Louis University’s School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. Hope he will fix providence. They suck ass. Try to call for anything. Just try.
I got through to Cathy in billing
Mr. Robinson (not personally) is what’s wrong with Provident Health (sic). Provident is extremely top heavy with very well paid administrators who basically do nothing at the expense of the health of the community. Good luck getting a colonoscopy in Humboldt County. If Mr. Robinson was truly concerned with “community health ” he would quit.
Agree, as Providence is heavily biased against elder employees, especially white males…
Providence has one of the most “Old School” management paradigms peculiar to Catholic Corporations…
They mostly hire travelers, and per diems, and pay pretty low considering the difficulty of finding decent housing locally…
This individual, with his MBA and his MHA, seems overqualified for what is basically a “Nursing Job”, but congratulations, anyway, and one question:
Who did you piss off to get sent to Eureka?
Good luck, and Dog bless!
NOT for profit???? WHAT THE HECK??? JUST BY SAYING “WE DON’T WANT TO PAY TAXES BECAUSE THAT WOULD CUT DIRECTLY INTO OUR HUGE PROFITS, THAT MEANS NOT FOR PROFIT????? ONE NIGHT IN BED THERE IS AUTOMATICALY 10,000. THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what do you care, you have insurance.
Welcome aboard Michael Robinson. I hope you and your family have a wonderful life in our beautiful area.
Well said.
