Major Injury Crash Off Hwy 101 South of Redcrest, Extrication Needed

At approximately 2:16 p.m., a grey Nissan Xterra  SUV reportedly rolled off Highway 101 between Weott and Redcrest leaving the occupant with major injuries, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. Over the scanner, emergency personnel were told that extrication was needed.

Reports to the CHP said the vehicle went about 30 feet over the edge and was “barely visible” from the roadway.

The vehicle received major damage and the #2 lane had to be temporarily closed in order for it to be towed out.
