Truck Strikes Two Vehicles After Entering One-Way Traffic Zone Against Traffic Light
Already impeded traffic on Highway 299, got a bit more complicated this morning after a vehicle collision within a construction zone occurred around 7:27 a.m.
West of the East Fork Campground at mile marker 32.40, a vehicle traveling the wrong direction within the construction zone struck two vehicles before overturning. A source reported that a silver Dodge Ram pickup entered the one-way construction zone against a red-light traffic stop. Fortunately, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page, no one was injured during the collision.
Buddy’s Towing is responding for a Dodge dually flipped on its side, blocking the roadway.
Caltrans Quickmap shows traffic in the area severely impacted. Please avoid the area if possible.
Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

Idiot. His hurrying through, caused him/her to be way late.
Probably had an important call or urgent text to make.
Or could have been texting and driving
Just wait till they get to the area down by Glendale, where they painted the stripes to merge with no signage and the k rails not set up yet If they don’t finish that soon there’s an accident bound to happen. Way to go caltrans. I thought that’s why you have 3 caltrans guys standing around babysitting these jobs.
i just called CalTrans in regard to this problem. The merges on 299 at Essex and North Bank on/off ramps are extremely dangerous and without any signs!!! Hopefully they will be corrected.
Also 299 Glendale section west bound huge pothole already in the open lane , few more semi’s and it will be impassable
Also what are they doing here anyway?
Average dodge dually activities
Roll coal, then roll over.
Dual wheels, empty bed
I’m too important to wait
Socialist red light
Probably drives a big truck to overcompensate a lack of physical attributes.
?
Isn’t there an inverse proportion in there somewhere?
Yes, there is. When I went to buy a big truck, the car dealer called my doctor, and now I drive one of the smallest cars on the market.
Oh no!! Dodge pickup fall down go boom?
Take idiot to traffic light..rub nose on red light till he/she understands.
If the vehicle was insured before this, it’s not likely to be insured after this.
Hang down your head Dodge Dually, hang down your head and cry.
the daily demo derby goes on. The party can’t stop.
Big truck, little brain.
Precisely why I drive a very small car.
Hard to imagine rolling over a 1 1/2 ton wide axle truck unless it’s driver error. Otherwise you’d have to make an honest effort to make it happen
Driving up and onto oncoming traffic maybe wedged them over. Empty, it’s only really the extra weight of two wheels, and maybe a few more leaf springs.
