New Transfer Approval Process in the California Cannabis Track and Trace System will Go Into Effect on January 2nd
Press release from the Department of Cannabis Control:
Beginning January 2, 2024, there will be a new transfer approval process in the California Cannabis Track and Trace system (CCTT). Transfer functionality will require licensees to pre-approve, or deny, CCTT transfer requests prior to the creation of a shipping manifest. Transport and destination pre-approvals will assist with creating accurate manifests and allow licensees to deny unscheduled or inaccurate transfers.
This update will:
- Allow licensees to review, and correct, orders before they are placed on a manifest
- Add additional verification to prevent misuse of transport license numbers
- Help prevent licensed destinations from receiving unsolicited products
- Help prevent licensees from being incorrectly selected as a destination
- Streamline operations to support the transfer of compliant products in the supply chain
Resources are available to prepare for this change:
- For full details on functionality, view the Metrc bulletin.
- View the training on Metrc’s website.

Anyone besides our “Government” see the same thing going on that happened in 1919 that ratified the 18th amendment ?
