That’s what I was trying to warn everyone about…?‍♂️

My warning started at 4:02PM…??

(Pratt Mountain is about halfway along the lower left boundary…)

That is my observation point.

There was about 75 minutes of constant, to fairly constant, close to distant thunder, to the North/ Northeast, which puts it out to about a 10 or 12 mile partial radius.

Had to look on my old Metzger map, to see what that encompassed…

Alderpoint and Ft Seward, with Blocksburg and Eel Rock being the outer limits that I overestimated. ?‍♂️?‍♂️

Yes, thank you, Bunny.

Fire was on D Loop Rd, @ Ft. Seward Rd. from what I hear, night before last…

Four fires that were much closer last night.

Nerves are a little shot, hot, and tired.

AOK otherwise.?

Thanks to everyone that helped put them all out.

4:26 p.m.

Pilot/Bridgeville Area Fires Update: The main fire, which is being called 3-1, is said to have potential for 100 acres and is the largest of the complex and has been made the priority for the limited resources. A new fire, which is being called 3-7 is reported to be burning just north of 3-2. Six of the seven fires in this group are in the federal responsibility area (FRA), so the Cal Fire Fortuna ECC is having to make resource orders through North Coast dispatch. This is leading to some delays as the federal resources are spread thin and it is possible that no additional resources will be available for the incident tonight.

AFFECTED AREA…Fire weather zone 212.

Does anyone know where to find the zone youre in?
Am assuming zone 212 is what is highlighted in the graphic?

Would really like to see it go back to road names/neighborhoods.
Or at least provide map of zones.

The “Betts” Fire is very near to the “Salt” Fire… In SouthWestern Trinity County… They will most likely merge into one fire…

Due East of the South
East corner of Humboldt County…

(Near the “L” in “ISLAND MOUNTAIN”.)

12-15 miles from Humboldt, more or less…

Maybe 10, maybe 18, hard to tell…

And they’re building, big time…!!!

This is what they look like from near Pratt Mountain, at about 7:10PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023…

(With some zoom applied…)

Checked my old Metzger Trinity map, and the Betts/Salt Fire, (between the headwaters of Lousy Creek, and Salt Creek), is approximately 12 1/2 sections, (12 1/2 +- miles), from the Humboldt County line…

20 miles from Pratt Mountain.
