Arcata Says Bloomfield Park Improvement Project to Begin Today

This is a press release from the City of Arcata:

The City of Arcata announced [recently] that the Bloomfield Park Improvement Project will break ground the week of Monday, Aug. 14. 

The City of Arcata has contracted with Hooven & Co. for this project. Work for this project involves improving Bloomfield Park by installing a concrete pad recreational area with a water fountain, installing seating and a new playground. Construction will generally take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On some days the contractor may extend work hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Work will begin at Bloomfield Park in August and will continue through September, weather permitting. Access to Bloomfield Park will be closed until construction is complete.
