I think it was two inches of new snow on top of the snow from the larger storm earlier in the week. At 1,000 feet we got 1.5 inches of rain from the storm over the weekend, then a break, then 0.7 inches by Tuesday (and cold in between). Snow came down as low as about 1350 feet and accumulated at about 3,500 feet. For me, we got four point six inches rain to date by my count. Of course, it is several more inches at higher elevations.
Time to go sledding.
Special note to people who still try to fish (or raft/kayak). The river is still clear, and has not risen much, which means most of the percipatation is still up higher in snow.

Check out the average for this time of year. Still behind average. But don’t worry about facts.

I’ve been watching the “average” as a resident of this state for 80 years. The seasonal average for Covelo on Nov. 10 is 4.75 in., we’ve had 5.5 inches so far. Evidently you Humboldt folks are in a rain shadow or you need to upgrade your weather station.

Is there more at Horse Mtn? I’d like to go XC skiing but I’m not driving up there for 2”
