[UPDATE] Oregon Law Enforcement Seeks Humboldt County Couple After 13 Starving Dogs, Dead Horse and Rabbit Found

Both Larue and Brown have lived at multiple locations in Humboldt County.
On September 21, deputies with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at Pawsitive K9 Solutions owned by Joseph Larue, located in Grants Pass, Oregon. On the day that law enforcement served a search warrant on the Pawsitive K9 Solutions business, the Facebook account with both Danielle Brown and Joseph Larue’s names posted the following photo just before 11 a.m. with the phrase, “We got this ❤️”
According to a press release issued by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department, “Deputies and Animal Control Officers recovered 13 canines all at different levels of malnourishment. Some of the canines required immediate care from veterinarians who helped after hours to see them in a timely manner.”

UPDATE 9:30 a.m.: According to a local woman who wishes to remain anonymous, the black dog we mistakenly called a Frenchie is actually a Pocket Bully.
This is the kidnapped Pocket Bully over a year ago when her fur was shiny and her ribs didn’t show, alleges the local woman.
She says that when she took her dog in for training about a year ago, Larue charged her more than agreed upon and when she couldn’t pay the increased fees, wouldn’t return her dog to her. “[H]e tried to charge me 4x what he quoted me,” the woman wrote us. “And I didn’t have the $. My dad is working on getting her back for me.”

You don’t know that they didn’t give the dogs water. My dogs love to drink out of puddles even when they don’t need water. The cops don’t suck, it’s the cops that are saving these animals. They have to see all the terrible torture that was done and they still go in and do the rescue.
In general I’d agree but not always and especially when it comes to animals. I won’t forget a big bust back in the 90’s- cops everywhere, dogs are doing their job barking and barking. A fed cop says he might shoot those dogs. Head of Humboldt County Narcotics Task Force- a real asshole in many other ways- says ” You’ll have to shoot me first”. And so he protects the grower’s dogs. The cops in this case saved those dogs. Give them that much credit however you feel about the other things they do…

I will agree, the bottom line is, that there will be hope for these dogs and other animals now.
