Roadwork Set to Impact Myrtle Avenue

Press release from the County of Humboldt:

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works will be replacing guardrails on Myrtle Avenue, beginning near Mitchell Road and working toward Felt Road.

Traffic through the work area will be restricted to a single lane with flagger controls until the work is completed.

Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, and be completed by Friday, April 1, 2022. Expect delays greater than 15 minutes at any time during this period.

Phew, I thought it was going to impede getting to Redwood Curtain Brewery on growler Sunday.

The completion date, however, is a joke.

Can they at least hold off until 8 or are they going to pull a pge and just bomb the morning commute entirely?

I just flipped a coin after making sure both side were the same, and sure enough, it’ll be the latter.
