Time Change! Spring Forward Tonight so You Won’t Be Late Tomorrow

daylight saving time clocks (1)

Adjust your clocks tonight before you head to bed! Move those hands on your clocks one hour forward.

Tomorrow at 2 a.m. Daylight Saving Time the official time will “spring forward” one hour to 3 a.m.

Sigh…one less hour sleep.

Didn’t we vote to stop this? Yes, yes we did. Just a glaring example that what we call democracy is a farce. Well, I’m not doing it anymore! I invite all true patriots to do the same- refuse to change the clock and let us live an hour behind everybody else! If enough of us do it then we can turn this mockery of a democracy around!!We can call it True Time. Ex)Tomorrow morning at 6 AM will be called 6AM TT PCT. NOT 7AM! Who’s with me?!

Direct complaints to the BBQ and other industries, they spend the most money lobbying for this to continue.
Industry has been lobbying heavy over proposition 7, maybe check out some info on how our republic works.
Your mistake is assuming we are a democracy not a republic.

Did you call your assembly representatives to say you want it ended? Because those industry lobbyists sure did and it shows. Thats how it works. Theres a new bill that would end it this year, call and write all the assemblymembers just like the industry lobbyists do. If you do believe in democracy one of the best statements regarding it is “Democracy is not a spectator sport”

Just hecause a proposition passes does not mean it is immediately law.
One lawsuit can stop it,amongst other things, like heavy lobbying. The proposition is the peoples way of saying we want this, not heres how to implement it.

Did you stand up for prop 215? It was 2 sentences saying a doctor can give written or oral recommendation that a person can legally use and grow cannabis for medical reasons. That never worked, it was never honored.
Did you stand up for that? No? Well in a democracy theres no middle ground. If you want one proposition enacted immediately you have to stand up for them all to be.

There are many articles and govt documents available on these subjects along with ecucated debates on our proposition process in our state.

Basic info on DST…

“The theory is that if people spend more of their waking hours when the sun is up, they won’t need to use as much electricity. But it’s not clear that daylight saving time leads to any real conservation. Instead, any savings made by keeping lights off might be offset by changes in heating and cooling needs. What daylight saving time really benefits is business. That extra hour of daylight is great for retailers and recreational industries like golf and tennis. An extra hour of daylight is an extra hour for people to spend money.”

“…But Proposition 7 wasn’t enough on its own. Lawmakers still had to decide whether to adopt daylight saving time permanently, or whether to stay on standard time all year. Time ran out in the legislative session to decide what to do, so that’s why California is still observing the time change. This year, the state legislature once again introduced a new bill on the issue, which would allow California to adopt daylight saving time permanently. This would eliminate the “fall back” reset in the fall. Switching over to year-round daylight saving time requires congressional approval. A bill introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate called the Sunshine Protection Act would make daylight saving time permanent.

California tried year round Daylight Time during the first energy crisis in the fall of 1974. It was quickly repealed due to so many complaints that children were walking to school in the dark. A simple solution, but never tried was to start the school day later.

Seemed like it but the bill that was passed by the voters didn’t eliminate daylight savings it simply gave the california legislature permission to eliminate it. Super shady, bait and switch language that highlights how backasswards California is.

I never adjust my clocks. Half the year I show up an hour ahead, half the year I show up an hour late. It averages out so I’m always on time…and never on time

Time…is a man made restraint placed on others . Time doesn’t exist in space.

It’s a clock change not a time change. The clock is just the metering device not time itself.

lol what a stupid fucking rule. This way, we get abnormally long days in summer and abnormally short days in winter instead of just leaving it alone to balance out in the middle.
