*** Monument Fire ***Junction CIty Evacuation Order Reduced to an Evacuation Warning08/23/2021 at 12:00 pmEffective: ImmediatelyThe areas along SR 299, West of Oregon Summit to Cemetery Road. This area includes Eagle Rock Quarry, Slattery Pond, Sky Ranch Road, Red Hill Road, Canyon Creek Road north to Ripstein Campground, Upper Road, Power House Road, Valdor Road, Lake Road, the Eastern most section of Hocker Meadow Road and all of Coopers Bar Estates. Dutch Creek Road, Evans Bar and Soldier Creek will remain closed. The road closure will be on Dutch Creek Road, south of the intersection of Dutch Creek Road and Red Hill Road.There will be a road closure at SR 299 at Sky Ranch Road. Residents and Emergency personnel only will be allowed access to the above listed open areas. East Fork/ Helena Road will remain closed.Be aware the Shasta Trinity National Forest has closed all areas within its boundary, including National Forest Roads to Public use.The public needs to be aware there is still a concern for residual fire activity in these areas. Fire apparatus and crews will be observed in the area for several days or weeks. Fire activity can change rapidly and the public needs to be vigilant and be ready to move in case the Evacuation Status in the area changes.All other Evacuation Warnings and Orders remain in effect for the areas of Trinity Center/ Coffee Creek, Hayfork, Hawkins Bar, Denny, Weaverville and Douglas City.

EVACUATION ORDER: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.
EVACUATION WARNING: Potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.
SHELTER IN PLACE: Go indoors. Shut and lock doors and windows. Prepare to self-sustain until further notice and/or contacted by emergency personnel for additional direction.
EVACUATION ORDER(S) LIFTED: The formal announcement of lifting evacuations in an area currently under evacuation.
HARD CLOSURE: Closed to all traffic except Fire and Law Enforcement.
SOFT CLOSURE: Closed to all traffic except Fire, Law Enforcement, and critical Incident resources (i.e. Utility, Caltrans, City/County roads etc. or those needed to repair or restore infrastructure).
RESIDENT ONLY CLOSURE: Soft closure with the additional allowance of residents and local government agencies assisting with response and recovery.

Bit premature IMHO, especially with the uncertainty with the weather this weekend. Use the smoke cap as a serious resupply. AKIMT1 doesn’t have a good history in this county with surprise NE winds.
There is strong pressure to get supplies into these people. The evac was called early to avoid problems with a late rush out. Probably a good call, but leaving these people locked down is reducing their potential to help. They need gas, food, fire fighting supplies etc to continue protecting their own property and usually the neighborhood too.
There is no fire pass in Trinity, but it’s well past due. Needs to be organized this winter when everyone has time.
