A large number of law enforcement officers went to a home on Par and Pine Streets in Redway before noon today. One witness said some were carrying machetes that might be used for chopping marijuana plants but that has not been confirmed.

We have requested more information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE 12:48 p.m.: Video from Luis Ruiz shows marijuana being thrown into a container.

UPDATE 12:53 p.m.: In this one, an officer is jumping on the plants to push them down.

Meanwhile “pay to play” folks have pumps in the creeks, running generators with lights on at night and still no state permit! Zero oversight, zero enforcement, zero chance of getting in trouble, 100% chance of getting rich on the traditional market, without paying any taxes. All while disrupting my peaceful home. Booooo Humboldt County government!

My interest in supporting the traditional legacy market is completely zilch.

Why? Terpenes is where the art and magic happen. My consumer-driven outlook NEEDS terp info, plus without regs there’s too much inclination to use chemicals and pesticides.

At my age knowing the terp profiles is essential for deciphering medical AND recreational effects.

Testing is expensive and perhaps one day my nose will replace testing. Anyone know the terp profiles for skunk and other gassy smelling flowers?

You’ll never reach the product levels you desire until you yourself, grow your own. The entire lifetime of your plants need to be protected and cultivated without outside interference. It’s worth the effort and provides a platform of awe and appreciation of our cannabis sativa/indica.

Nor cal native? Are you from Marin? Bay Area? The legacy market was the heart and soul of humboldt cultivation. Your need for approval and elitist attitude is really too much for me.

Is the elitist attitude on display in another post, cuz I don’t see it in this one.

Hey for what it’s worth I won the highest terpenes, “Flavor Champion” award at the 2019 Norcal GrowOff. Plants were grown outdoor, no cover, full season. Lab tested.

meanwhile some of us run clean operations with both state and county permits and the nit picking never ends. I’m arguing with the county about the square footage of my non graded outdoor patch, trying to stay under 10k sq ft but can look out at at least 10 greenies lit up all night without coverings and they want to fuck with ME?? Go figure, makes as much sense as mask orders and gun control laws. Some day this will again be the land of the free, but freedom will come with a heavy price, as it always has. The price is the blood of patriots and all those willing to say ENOUGH!!

It’s not those few feet, which may be the difference in the viability of my farm. Everyone has different situations. It is the culture of governmental control and top down regulation that crushes the individual human spirit and sometimes makes me ask is it even worth fighting for? I’m old enough now i could give up and do exactly as im told and get by with reasonable comfort, but that would be a betrayal to those that came before me and a mortgage on my childrens future. I sure as hell a’int looking for a fight but i’ll never run from one. I’m frusturated tonight so thank you for an informative news site and a place people can express themselves

In California, growing your own veggies will require permits n fees. Fines and punishment if not in complacencies.Mark my word kym…. maybe not this year, but it’s coming. Monsanto already wants to ban farmers markets. Most likely will at some point.

If you see the tall wooden fences of Redway, you will know:

EVERYONE IN REDWAY GROWS WEED!

Please, make a note of it!

Also: That “marijuana cash” gets converted to Postal Money Orders down at the Redway Post office, which handles more cash in a single day than most banks… So, you might have to wait in line, for a while, most afternoons…

Really chomping at the bit to make more confication cash. But, they empire out the prisons to do so? Seems a little hypocritical to me. Not enough court appearances to prove anything but give me your livelihood with your cash to offer? Honsal, you look awfully selfish. Why?

This Ballot Measure was filed with Humco Election Dept today:

Notice of Intention to Circulate Initiative Petition

The people of Humboldt County ordain as follows:

Any adult, twenty-one years or older, can cultivate up to six cannabis (marijuana) plants of unlimited size for personal use on any size parcel of unincorporated land in Humboldt County pursuant to the law created by the passage of Proposition 64 on November 8th, 2016 in California.

“Once someone has nothing, they will do anything for something.”

Comply to the order. What did I tell you? Debt and fear. Humboldt county officials have been using it for years. They send you a letter that is illegal and unconstitutional to comply or face the threat of debt ( 10,000$ a day fines) to scare you into complying. If you do not bow down to the fear, you will lose your property. Fear and debt = control and confiscation.

It’s called rule of law you can’t just break the law and expect no consequences. Maybe you should make a sign and call them communist.
Just a note: the abatement program has been a net profit for black market growers who have the seen close to 100% jump in prices due to increased demand.
Unfortunately the permit patsies have also benefited which to me seems completely unfair.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Uh have you seen the bulgarian grows complete with human trafficked women? Ive had 3 sheriff deputies tellme theyre too scared to bust the bulgies as the bulgies take hits out on them. Laaame.
Please someone hint nudge Brandon Brennen please run against honsal in our next election!
Deputy Brennan is the only sheriff Ive heard of who actually showed up at a home break in, took a detailed report and gasp actually fingerprinted where the robbers had touched, tracked them down and got some stolen items back.
I guess that impresses me since they wouldnt even take my address when I went in to report home break in.
Nor any of the other ten people i knew who were broken into many multiple times. We found a few of the thieves who took a trail from a friends house to theirs, dropping stolen items as they went. The cops wouldnt so we had to; it was obvious who did it, there was literally a trail to follow.

And to think just down the road from where this is happening in Redway today, Stephanie was murdered in her home. WTF did any sheriff do? Same as always, nothing.

I think our county ought to do what SF did years ago and let the public vote on what they feel are the top priorities for law enforcement to focus on and have said priorities be the directive for LEO’s.
Sorry the hcso cant line their pockets with hundreds of thousands anymore, poor you.

Now you know why honsals opening things back up, the boys need new boats and off road vehicles to play with this summer so its time to go bust some poor smalltime grower who cant afford a good lawyer and take all their stuff!!!
One year a friend had a neighbor get busted and of course they applied it to his land too and found some plants and confiscated his excavator even though he could prove it was purchased with legal money through his business. He went in with his lawyer and they said basically if you buy the excavator back for 35,000 there will be no charges. He said ok and that was it.
Thats how the game is played.

Liquor is legal too, but you sure as heck can’t produce it to sell without a proper license and paying taxes….and you surely won’t be issued a license if you plan to produce it in a residential zone…. and making spirits at home- even if it is for personal use is strictly against the law.
Get a clue. Pay taxes like the rest of us or risk being arrested.

He should have been arrested just for what he did in the doc. He wears a shirt that says killing it on murder mountain. Sooo wrong to bust small timers when these jerks are around.
Word is that dookie is the CI, a person i know caught him recording their in person conversation on his phone!

Estelle has got to go!! Estelle has no respect for small growers legal or otherwise. Estelle is owned by the Bulgarians. Estelle has done more to destroy Humboldt County than anyone else. I have lost all respect for her. She is a shitty Supervisor and a sell out. I don’t know Bushnell but anything is better than Estelle. Bushnell in November.

Supervisor Estelle is getting our vote. Anyone that has had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with bushnell, knows she creates toxic drama wherever she goes, is very divisive and insecure and just plain mean especially when anyone disagrees with her. To say she has a very volatile personality is an understatement, she thrives on being vindictive. She seems to really believe all of her own lies that she tells. Her neighbors can attest to this and have had it with her and are not going to take it any longer.
Ask Michelle who owns this drug house , who runs it.
