KMUD had a story suggesting that there are bounty hunters looking for Bassler. The sheriff (Smallomb?) advised them to wear bright clothing, presumably so they would not be mistaken for Bassler who is wearing camo. Somehow, I found this advice very strange…

Not to mention all the marijuana harvesters in the area. What are they wearing?

There was only a 50% chance if that of catching Bassler as it was, the entire bizarre perimeter idea was bound to be unworkable simply from a standpoint of needing too many resources and too many people to maintain it. No agency except military or Guard units have the needed people to do it and most of them are out of the country.
The idea of catching up with him seemed over when they did find him and he got away. Now the manhunt is in some strange stage of unknown as time is going by and there is no capture. Wonder how the bloodhound did?

The US Marshall…and who ever else is doing the searching…get some local people who sincerely know the area…not some google map of the area that is NOT UP TO DATE! GPS will tell you exactly were you are AT…BUT NOT GIVE YOU CHANGES TO THE AREA. Law Enforcement……….GET SOME LOCAL PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE AREA…not people from out of the area who do not know what exactly the changes that can happen from season to season. Thank you Law Enforcement with your efforts…and continue to do your best…but please…LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE AREA…not some GPS packing person who thinks they know it all because it came from some photos in space.
