Trinity County Reports That Humboldt County Resident Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 Has Been Living There for the Last Two Weeks

Press release from the Trinity County Health and Human Services:

On June 24, 2020 Trinity County Health and Human Services (HHS) Public Health Branch (PHB) received notification of a lab confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Humboldt County resident, who had been residing in Trinity County for the last two (2) weeks.

This individual has returned to Humboldt County and will be monitored by Humboldt County Public Health. Since this individual had been residing in Trinity County over the last two (2) weeks, the TCPHB will conduct contact tracing for potential exposure of Trinity County Residents.

As we learn more information the TCPHB will keep our public informed. As a reminder COVID- 19 testing for those Trinity County residents 18 years of age and over is available through our drive-thru testing sites. Refer to the posted schedule for these sites on our trinitycounty.org website.

We also want to emphasize the use of face coverings, as mandated by the Governor’s office, be worn at all times when unable to socially distance from others (at least 6 feet or more). Other prevention practices effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19 include:

Wash hands frequently with soap and water or hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable.

Wipe down surfaces regularly;

Do not congregate in close proximity (less than 6 feet of distance) in groups of people other than those who you are typically in close contact with (i.e. family);

Wear face coverings when out in public and not able to maintain social distancing;

Stay home when ill;

Get tested.
