[UPDATE 1:42 p.m.: Moderate Injuries] One Injured After Crash Into Garbage Truck on Myrtle Avenue

One person was injured after two vehicles collided about 12:48 p.m. in the 6500 block of Myrtle Avenue not far from Freshwater Corners. A Subaru struck a garbage truck.

According to the first reports on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, the driver of the Subaru has a possible injury to their legs and needed extrication. But the Incident Commander reported that extrication wasn’t needed.

An ambulance is responding to the scene.

According to CHP Sgt. Campbell in the video above, an older woman driving a Subaru Crosstrek ran into the back of a garbage truck and has moderate injuries.
